Find here the underwater trails available within 25 kilometres of our campsite in Hy\u00e8res<\/a>. These snorkelling routes<\/strong> are accessible to all<\/strong> and preserved in their natural setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s time to take the time to discover<\/strong> the Mediterranean and our beautiful coastline with bottoms that have nothing to envy the Caribbean \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few minutes by boat from our campsite, discover the famous underwater paths of Port-Cros.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This aquatic walk in Port-Cros<\/strong> allows you to observe the extraordinary underwater world with a simple mask, in crystal clear water bathed in sunlight!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crossing to the island of Port-Cros takes about thirty minutes from the port of Hy\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This island with its paradisiacal and exotic landscapes<\/strong> is a protected nature reserve, where you will see fish and plants that cannot be appreciated anywhere else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tour is self-guided<\/strong> and you will learn to recognise the species you come across thanks to 6 buoys equipped with underwater explanatory panels along the route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The underwater trail can be discovered independently from 15 June to 15 September by any swimmer equipped with fins, mask and snorkel. Allow 30 to 40 minutes. From a depth of two metres, you can observe the posidonia meadow<\/strong>, you can even see some sea urchins<\/strong> and the many fish<\/strong> that shelter there.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A little deeper, you will come across some species that prefer the dark, such as anemones and sponges.<\/strong> And if you are brave enough to dive into the depths, you may be lucky enough to come across some bigger fish and octopus!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opt for a guided tour in partnership with the Saint P’Hy\u00e8res Plong\u00e9e club<\/strong> in July and August. The club offers a guided snorkelling tour<\/strong> (boat trip, loan of snorkelling equipment and guided tour included).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The walk is accessible to anyone aged 7 and over who can swim.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\n\n

In La Londe, discover the Jardin des Mattes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The underwater trail of the Jardin de Mattesse<\/strong> is located at the tip of the rocky spur of the Argenti\u00e8re and Pellegrin beach, in a totally protected area.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At depths ranging from 0 to 4 metres, there is a great diversity of underwater landscapes<\/strong> (posidonia meadows, cymodocea, rocks, sands, scree…), inhabited by numerous species of fish, molluscs, crustaceans, starfish etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In autonomy, equipped with a mask, flippers and snorkel, the underwater trail can be discovered from June to September from the beach. By following the numbered buoys, you will discover the underwater panels presenting the ecosystem.<\/strong> A species identification guide is available<\/strong> at the Tourist Office in La Londe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guided tours in July and August at 10.45am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 30 to 40 minute guided snorkelling tour. Equipment (mask, snorkel, fins) is not provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Giens, discover the underwater archaeological trail of Bouvet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This trail is located on the Giens peninsula, only a few meters from the shore and at a depth of 6 meters!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route is marked out with explanatory plaques.<\/strong> Amphorae<\/strong> discovered on the Madrague wreck, found in the early 1970s in Giens, have been submerged again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remains<\/strong> have been installed on the edge of the Pointe du Bouvet, forming an underwater archaeological trail, marked out during the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The walk is self-guided<\/strong> and lasts from 3\/4 of an hour to 1 hour.<\/strong> It can be extended along the underwater biological trail. The start is from the beach, with free access for all swimmers equipped with fins, mask and snorkel. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\n\n

Take the time to go back in time with the archaeological trail of Olbia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This guided walk through<\/strong> the submerged archaeological remains of Olbia<\/strong> is located at the beginning of the Almanarre beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discover the underwater flora and fauna at a depth of less than 5 metres on a site that is unique in France, where you can admire an ancient Roman quay and a 19th century wreck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Arevpam<\/strong> (Association for Research, Study and Development of the Mediterranean Heritage) organises occasional half-day or full-day group visits<\/strong>. This is a supervised family activity accessible to children from 8 years old who can swim. The association lends you equipment<\/strong>: fins, mask, snorkel and full wetsuit or shorty if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duration: 1h30 (time under water: about 45 minutes)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This trail<\/strong> will allow you to discover the fauna and flora of the Mediterranean from the surface<\/strong>! No need for flippers or swimming, you wander between the rocks to discover the shallow underwater treasures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buoys, equipped with descriptive panels, present a type of environment and its animal and plant population. The diversity of the underwater landscape depends<\/strong> on the rocky cliffs<\/strong> surrounding this bathing water site.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\n\n
